However if you’re going to use German, please, oh, please, do it right. You have no idea how many people cringe at how badly people do this shit. 

If you don’t know a word in German, guess what? Don’t use it. 

I have seen the most stupid words being made up, eg, “Italiens” and “fraus.” No, that is not the plural form of either. Please, stop. Adding an ‘s’ to German words does not magically transform it into plural forms. Don’t know the plural? SAY THE ENGLISH FORM.

Keep German to the little things; greetings, exclaimations, addressing nations, family members, friends, etc. Please don’t google translate phrases [only makes you look really silly], and stick to words you know.

If you’re going to do accent, do something that makes sense. None of this “meinself” and “mein car” bullshit. No “oh where ist mein burger.” I personally think the use of and, but, and or is acceptable, other things just make the character look silly. If you’re going to use a word, why not a small phrase? Or, if using “mein/meine,” use the noun that comes after it!

Speaking of nouns— use nouns? Please capitalise them, that would be great!

Instead of “oh that’s a gut car” maybe “oh that’s ein gutes Auto“ because non German speakers will read “GUT” and think of people’s GUTS if they don’t know the word. 

Ooc, why are people saying ‘und’ and crap in their sentences? You’re not German, your typos aren’t ‘kawaii.’ 

Basically. Don’t know German? Don’t use it in long sentences and incorrectly state the simplest of words because you couldn’t bother to research for two minutes, thanks.
